Someone I can't talk to (a poem)
Oh, hey, I was going to tell you, but then I thought, it's not about facts and figures
but hard-heartedness at the root of the problem.
No words are going to alter that.
So I grow silent instead---again.
But you don't notice that---the silences that go on and on.
We are but planets in your orbit, rolling around and around you: the sun.
And I've lost again... before we've even begun.
